A series of unfortunate events
Today, Oct 1st, our listing was scheduled to go on at 16:00 UTC on Uniswap. Unfortunately, although everything was ready for launch on our part, we ran into some issues, and after a lot of deliberation we decided to postpone the launch.
Wrong place, Wrong time
First, we had technical difficulties with the ledger wallet. To elaborate, minutes before launch Ledger Live gave us this two errors message:
“Transaction failed: Unknown error: “[object Object]”. Try increasing your slippage tolerance. Note: fee on transfer and rebase tokens are incompatible with Uniswap V3.”
“Failed to execute ‘getDevices’ on ‘HID’: Access to the feature “hid” is disallowed by permissions policy.”
We were unable to interact with any contracts in the blockchain via web3 which by proxy meant that the funds for the Liquidity Pool were blocked. The cause of this error was an unfortunately timed update from part of Ledger Live which required completion before allowing downloads to go through and allowing access to the funds.
Fortunately, after a good amount of panic, we managed to find a solution and the launch was back on its way to listing later than expected but none the less back on track. Until another unfortunate sequence of events arose. This time involving our Audit Certification.
A new discovery
The situation of our Audit certification was an unfortunate one. We have been working with CertiK since August and they delivered the certification on mid-September, but a small typo in their PDF broke the link and stalled the process. Said typo was fixed today before launch and just as we finished fixing the previous issue, we noticed that although everything worked on the pdf now there was a new discovery which had to be modified before we could get the validation on the certificate virtually killing all hopes of launching the project today.
The aftermath
We were prepared for the launch, we had every tool at our disposal and were ready to make it a smooth one, but life dealt us a bad hand, a series of unfortunate events that no one could have foreseen and although it was somewhat demotivating, we lifted ourselves up and did what we do best, we got to work and fixed all there was to fix! Now being certain that the launch was not happening the day and time that we had planned and having learned from recent events we decided to give the team some time to check everything again, make sure everything worked as intended and to make the new launch an amazing experience.
